STATEMENT ON CONSERVATIVE CAUCUS VOTE

Larry Brock, Member of Parliament for Brantford-Brant and Deputy Shadow Minister for Justice and Attorney General of Canada, issued the following statement on the leadership vote by the Conservative Caucus.

“Today, our Conservative Caucus voted in favour of new party leadership.

“I look forward to engaging with our Conservative Party of Canada membership in the coming months as we elect our next Leader.

“I would like to sincerely thank the Hon. Erin O’Toole and his family for their service and sacrifice over the last year and a half.

“Canada is currently facing many challenges, and it’s imperative that Conservatives are united to effectively serve Canadians as the Official Opposition in the House of Commons, and to ultimately form government in the next federal election.

“I am optimistic about our Party’s future and am ready to work with our new Interim Leader – who will be chosen tonight – to continue advocating for the people of Brantford-Brant.”
