MP Larry Brock & MPP Will Bouma are seeking nominations for His Majesty King Charles III’s Coronation

 

 


A Canadian commemorative medal has been created to mark His Majesty King Charles III’s Coronation on May 6th, 2023. In celebration and honour of His Majesty and his dedication to a life of Public Service, MP Larry Brock and MPP Will Bouma will be recognizing residents of Brantford-Brant, Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississauga's of the Credit First Nation who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to public service, the environment and sustainability, and good citizenship in our community, province, country and abroad. 

 

Nominations for this award is open to deserving individuals of all ages from all walks of life who have made a difference in their communities. 

 

Here in our riding of Brantford-Brant, we are incredibly fortunate to have an abundance of community minded individuals who generously and willingly give their time, talents, and energy to improve the lives of others... So, lets make sure they’re recognized! 

 

If you know someone who has made a significant difference in Brantford-Brant, please acknowledge their contributions, and show your appreciation by nominating them for this special award.  

 

The nominations will be accepted until September 27th, 2024 and can be submitted to the offices of MP Larry Brock or MPP Will Bouma. 

 

Award recipients will be honoured at a commemorative ceremony, the date and location is to be confirmed.  

 

The Medal will highlight themes that both King Charles III and Canadians hold dear, including service, the environment and sustainability, and our nation’s diversity.

Eligibility: 

 

  • Nominee must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. 

  • Nominee must be an individual who resides within the boundaries of the Brantford-Brant federal electoral district.  

  • Nominee must have made a significant contribution to the community. 

  • Been alive on May 6, 2023, the date of His Majesty’s Coronation. 

  • Nominations can be made posthumously, as long as the nominee was alive on that date. 

  • One cannot nominate oneself. 

 

Nomination Process: 

 

  • Nominations must be supported by a nominator. 

  • , hard copy mail (no postage required) or dropped off in person at MP Larry Brock’s or MPP Will Bouma’s constituency office. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Nomination packages will not be returned once submitted. 

  • All supporting letters must describe the author's direct knowledge of the value and impact of the nominee's contribution to the community as well as the author's perspective about why the nominee should receive this recognition. 

  • Nominations may include newspaper articles or other materials illustrating the nominee's contributions. 

  • Nominations must be received by September 27th, 2024. 

 

Please note that this is a joint process between MP Brock and MPP Bouma. To ensure a smooth review, please submit your application to only one office, and assured they will be reviewed by both.
